Kaspersky Lab has hit the top spot at the SC Magazine Awards Europe 2012, winning a highly sought after award: ‘Best SME Security Solution’.

This prestigious award recognises Kaspersky Lab as a company that is at the forefront of internet security, making the digital world safer for more than 300 million users worldwide. It has been fighting a high-tech battle against malicious programs for over 14 years, and fought off stiff competition to claim the title of ‘Best SME Security Solution’.

“We have been dedicated to tackling malware from day one. We tirelessly research new solutions to address the growing threat of malware, driven by our desire to protect businesses and consumers,” explains Eugene Kaspersky, Founder and CEO, Kaspersky Lab. “We aim to be the most focused and trusted vendor in this market. To achieve this recognition from some of the most coveted awards within the European information security industry marks a key milestone within this journey.”

Paul Fisher, editor of SC Magazine commented: “In the opinion of the judges, Kaspersky Lab’s SME offering of enterprise-quality detection technology coupled with incredibly straightforward installation, management and use made it a winner for small firms.

“This year’s SC Awards were the biggest, best and most competitive to date, with more entries than ever before - so winning an SC Award this year is an especially great achievement.”

The SC Awards are widely recognised across Europe and honour professionals working to secure enterprises, and the vendor communities that deliver innovative security technologies.
