Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for MIMEsweeper

Kaspersky Anti-Virus® for MIMESweeper integrates tightly with Clearswift MIMESweeper to provide antivirus scanning and disinfection of incoming and outgoing traffic that passes through the security software.

Email offers businesses a fast and versatile means of communication. It also, however, has its disadvantages. Malicious programs and spam are commonly sent in email messages, and email also provides a channel through which confidential data can be leaked.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus for MIMESweeper offers an additional layer of protection for the mail server on your corporate network. The application works together with Clearswift MIMESweeper to scan incoming and outgoing email traffic in real time, and where possible, treat infected messages.

Real-time email protection. Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Clearswift MIMESweeper detects and removes all types of viruses, worms, Trojans and other malware in incoming and outgoing email messages (including attachments) that pass through Clearswift MIMESweeper.

Administration. Installation, configuration and management of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Clearswift MIMESWeeper are carried out via the administration tools in Clearswift MIMESweeper. The application can also be configured remotely via the management console in Clearswift MIMESweeper.

Advanced scalability. The solution can be deployed on cluster servers and networks with distributed configurations.

Flexible security policies. If group policies are enabled in Clearswift MIMESweeper, they can also be applied to the antivirus scanning of messages.

Reports and notifications. The system administrator receives an email notification when an infected object is detected. Data on the application is recorded in dedicated logs and databases, which can help the system administrator pinpoint the source of an infected message.

Update options. Updates to antivirus databases and program modules can be downloaded on schedule or on demand either directly from Kaspersky Lab servers or from local servers on the corporate network.
