Barclays Online Protection: Install KIS 2009

If you have been having problems, you can also download the software here.

When the dialogue box opens, select "Save”, then select a convenient location for saving the file, such as your Desktop. We recommend that you uninstall the existing antivirus software first before installing Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 to prevent any possible errors.

Installation

Once the new file (from the link above) is downloaded, you are ready to install Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.

1. Run the file you downloaded by double clicking your left mouse button on it. You will see this screen (Fig. 1):

2. After this you will see our license agreement (Fig. 2) – you need to select “I accept” to move on.

3. You can then select which installation option to use (Fig. 3). We recommend that novice users should choose the Express Installation option.

4. Then click the “Install” button to continue (Fig. 4).

5. The install process will then begin (Fig. 5).

6. At the end of the installation click “Next” (Fig. 6)

7. Once installation is complete, the setup process will then begin. Click “Next” on the screen that appears (Fig. 7)

8. At the screen you see below (Fig. 8) you can choose how to activate your product. If a previous Activation Code was detected, it will skip this screen and go directly to Fig. 10.

Note: You must be online for the Activation Code to be activated.

9. Fig. 9 shows the software connecting to our activation server.

10. Once activation is successful, your license details will be shown as in Fig. 10.

11. The system will then analyse the trusted applications and add them to the software (Fig. 11).

12. You then need to decide whether you wish to participate in our Security Network (Fig. 12).

13. At the final screen (Fig. 13) simply click “Finish” to reboot your PC. Once your system has restarted, the Kaspersky Lab ‘K’ icon will then be visible in your system tray by the clock in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Your Kaspersky Lab product will now have been upgraded to the latest version.

In a few days, you will receive an email from us called "Your Kaspersky Activation Code". Copy and paste your Activation Code from this email into the software when it prompts you. This will convert it to a full 12-month licence for installation on up to 3 PCs.
