Kaspersky Lab participated in the 20th Virus Bulletin International Conference on IT Security that took place between 29 September and 01 October, 2010, in Vancouver, Canada. Kaspersky Lab’s experts have traditionally been key speakers at the event in previous years. This year, some of the company’s leading analysts made six presentations on such topics as: the black market price of digital data, automated targeted attacks, mobile malware, the ROP pack and the notorious Pegel and Russian Trojan-ransoms.

Costin Raiu, Director of the Global Research and Analysis Team, along with representatives from The Microsoft Corporation presented the latest information about Stuxnet infection scenarios and provided a narrative of the successful joint effort to combat it in the presentation titled 'Unraveling Stuxnet'.

Kaspersky Lab hosted a Security Symposium for the major IT publications from all over the world in Munich, Germany, on 22-24 September, 2010. The Company’s leading security experts shared their insights regarding the latest cybercrime trends in three different tracks: Cybercrime Technology, Cybercrime in Everyday Life and Cybercrime Versus the Law. Topics covered included: law enforcement and its effect on modern cyberthreats, the online gaming world’s black economy, targeted attack scenarios featuring Aurora and Stuxnet, automated tools used by the cybercriminals, the rogue antivirus business and its live technical support and spam diversity.
