France's Public Health Network (RSS), established in 1998, is the first provider of Internet services to health professionals. RSS offers services for wideband and narrowband Internet connections, and also offers health professionals services such as e-work flow.
The challenge
Health professionals bear not only professional responsibility for the data security: they are also legally subject to strict requirements for keeping personal medical information confidential and secure. Offering services that are in compliance with the current legislation is an integral part of the Social Health Network's policy. Confidential data is protected via a well-developed data access and protection system.
The solution
To keep data secure, the company needed the most effective IT security system compatible with their specialized health administration software. RSS also installed an antivirus solution for its Internet Gateway to strengthen protection for Internet access via the local network. In addition, the company uses a range of solutions that provide IT security for users’ computers.
