Functions

Protection from malicious programs

Antivirus scanning. Kaspersky Anti-Virus S.O.S. scans the file system on a workstation for malicious programs on demand by the system administrator or on schedule.

Selection of protection level. The program’s interface enables the administrator to select the level of protection, thereby establishing a balance between program performance and the quality of protection.

Selection of scanning areas. The administrator can choose which file system areas (e.g., critical areas or startup objects) or objects should be scanned.

Quarantine storage. Objects recognized as suspicious can be moved to a quarantine folder, preventing infection of the computer. These objects can later be scanned using an updated set of antivirus databases, and then disinfected or deleted.

Administration

Centralized administration. A protection system based on Kaspersky Anti-Virus Second Opinion Solution can be deployed on corporate networks of any size and complexity using Kaspersky Administration Kit. The antivirus solution can be managed either locally or remotely.
