{"id":13606,"date":"2018-05-07T08:32:09","date_gmt":"2018-05-07T12:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.co.uk\/blog\/?p=13606"},"modified":"2019-11-22T10:03:49","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T10:03:49","slug":"update-error-solution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.co.uk\/blog\/update-error-solution\/13606\/","title":{"rendered":"Error: What to do if your Kaspersky product suddenly stops working"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you receive an error message saying \u201cIntegrity violation,\u201d or \u201cInvalid key file,\u201d or something like that while using Kaspersky Internet Security, Kaspersky Total Security, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, or Kaspersky Free (for example, after installing the product, updating it or updating your operating system), it is a bug\/glitch that we are already aware of and have a workaround for.<\/p>\n<p>To fix this problem, you\u2019ll need to reinstall your security solution. Here\u2019s how to do that:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure you have your activation key on separate media, be it a piece of paper from the product box, and e-mail in your mailbox, your MyKaspersky account, or somewhere else. If you cannot find your activation key, follow the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/support.kaspersky.com\/12778#block6\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">instructions from this article<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Uninstall the security solution. To do that, open the Control Panel, choose <em>Programs and Features,<\/em> select the security solution, and click <em>Uninstall<\/em>. If that doesn\u2019t work, follow <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/support.kaspersky.com\/12783\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the instructions here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/advert\/downloads?redef=1&amp;THRU&amp;reseller=gl_kdaily_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c__lnk_______\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">official Kaspersky Lab website<\/a> and download the installer for the security solution you\u2019ve been using.<\/li>\n<li>Restart your computer<\/li>\n<li>Run the installer and follow the installation instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Activate the security solution using your activation key. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The problem should be solved.
