Here<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u2018<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s how it begins.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\">\n<\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Key facts: <\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\">\u2022<strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/blog\/whatsapp-encryption\/11785\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><span lang=\"en-US\">WhatsApp encrypts your messages<\/span><\/a><\/u><span lang=\"en-US\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"en-US\">Nobody but you and the person you are talking to can read them. That means your conversations cannot be reposted on Facebook or analyzed for marketing and advertising purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\">\u2022<span lang=\"en-US\"><strong>There will be no banner ads on WhatsApp<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u2014<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">at least, for now. But you will probably receive commercial messages from companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\">\u2022<span lang=\"en-US\">Facebook will access data that includes how frequently you use WhatsApp and with whom you chat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><blockquote class=\"twitter-pullquote\"><p>WhatsApp shares your data to boost Facebook advertising. That means what you do on WhatsApp will change what you see on Facebook.
