Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces the release of Maintenance Pack 1 for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition helps businesses protect data on servers running under the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems (including 64-bit versions) from all types of malicious programs. The product was designed specifically for high-performance corporate servers that experience heavy loads, and can be installed and used on corporate networks of any size.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition Maintenance Pack 1 is the first antivirus solution to earn Windows Server 2008 software certification. The Certified for Windows Server 2008 logo guarantees full compatibility of the product with Windows Server 2008 and the highest level of integration with new server platform technologies, including Server Core installation mode.
The first maintenance pack for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition includes a number of new features and enhancements, making administration of the solution easier and more flexible, while the interface has become more user-friendly and self-explanatory.
Improvements to the product’s functionality have made it easier for system administrators to connect to the antivirus application installed on the server. Support for the SNMP protocol has also been extended, improving system administrators’ ability to monitor antivirus protection status.
A new trusted zone dialog window has also been added to the product’s interface, while a number of windows have been transformed into tabs within other windows, optimizing the administration of the security system on a corporate network.
Among the other useful modifications is the new scan only new and changed files parameter added to the settings for on-access file protection and on-demand scanning. This function substantially reduces the load on server resources and accelerates the scanning process.
