Kaspersky Lab hosts conference for the IT security generation of tomorrow

Unique opportunities for young researchers to improve their knowledge of IT security - research papers to be submitted by 1 December 2011

The international student conference ‘IT Security for the Next Generation’ held by Kaspersky Lab, one of the world’s leading IT security companies, brings together young professionals, researchers, experts and professors from all over the world. The conference offers unique opportunities for young researchers to improve their knowledge of IT security, gain new experience and communicate with industry experts. Participants can realise their scientific potential as well as open doors to exciting career opportunities in the IT security world.

Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. students from higher education institutes and graduate schools based in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East & Africa, Russia & the CIS countries are welcome to apply. Participation is free of charge.

To participate in the conference simply follow these three steps:

  1. Register in your region at the official conference site: http://www.kaspersky.com/educational-events.
  2. Prepare your research paper on one of the following categories: technical, social, economic and legal.
  3. Submit your research paper by 1 December 2011.

The most interesting and innovative IT security projects will be chosen by the conference committee of Kaspersky Lab experts and IT security professors, and the authors invited to present their projects at the respective regional rounds of the conference, which will be held in February and March 2012.

All travel expenses for participants will be covered by Kaspersky Lab. The winners will receive generous cash prizes as well as an invitation to attend the international final that brings together the best of the best from the regional elimination rounds. The final stage of the conference will take place in Europe in May 2012.
