Updated products are fully compatible with Microsoft's latest Windows operating systems
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of Internet threat management solutions that protect against all forms of malicious software including viruses, spyware, hackers and spam, announces that Release 2 versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for 6.0 Windows Workstations and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers have been confirmed as compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 respectively, after successfully passing all the relevant Microsoft certification tests.
In addition, the updated versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers have been recognised by Microsoft's prestigious Front Runner program, which confirms that Kaspersky Lab was amongst the first companies to ensure compatibility of its products with client and server versions of the new Windows system.
"The release of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 will no doubt attract a great deal of attention amongst the IT community, and we are well prepared for the release," says Alexey Kalgin, director of product marketing for Kaspersky Lab's Corporate Business Division. "As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Kaspersky Lab concentrated on developing a stable and fully functional set of security solutions that provide full integration and reliable protection for the new platform's users. These are already available to business users in the Kaspersky Open Space Security Release 2 product line."
Maximum protection for users
Kaspersky Lab's corporate products are optimised for the architecture of the new Windows versions, ensuring stable and fully-functional operation of the security solutions themselves, as well as operating systems and applications. The products correctly install and operate, even in situations that require deep integration with the operating system at kernel level in order to provide maximum protection for users. Together with a more intuitive user interface, these features are designed to aid system administrators.
Users of the new versions of Windows have access to all the features of the updated Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers, including improved object scanning and heuristics. Kaspersky Lab's technical support team is always available to assist those customers using the company's products as they upgrade to Microsoft's latest operating systems.
Updating to Release 2 is completely free for current users of the Kaspersky Lab's corporate products.
