Cancellations and Refunds

Subscription is automatically renewed at the end of a subscription period, for the subsequent period, until you cancel it. If you don't want to continue your subscription for the next term, you can simply cancel it. If you want to get your money back for the latest period you have paid for, you need to request a refund. On this page you can find all the details about how cancellations and refunds work and what steps you need to take.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

When you cancel your subscription you discontinue the automatic charges for subsequent subscription periods. Your current subscription period will continue to provide you with full protection until the expiration date. After this date, your subscription will end, and you will not be charged for any subsequent periods.

Please note that cancellation only applies to the next scheduled payment and does not provide a refund for a payment that has already been made. Because automatic billing occurs in advance of the end of your current subscription period, a subscription that is cancelled during the rest of the period will remain active until the end of the subsequent period. For example, if your subscription has been renewed for the next year and there are 2 weeks left of your current period, it will end 1 year and 2 weeks later. Should you wish to cancel the early renewal payment for the next year and terminate your subscription in 2 weeks when it is due to end, you would need to request a refund.

How do I get a refund?

You can request a refund within 30 days from the date of the order. Payments made for a purchase in the Kaspersky online store or automatic payments for subscription renewal can be refunded. To request a refund, contact Kaspersky Customer Support.

Please have the following information ready:

  • Date of purchase
  • Name and email address you specified during purchase
  • Order number

What happens when I request a refund?

Once you make a request, our customer support specialist will check if all the provided information is correct and the request meets the criteria of the refund policy. Once the information is confirmed and a refund is initiated, funds will be credited to your account within 5-7 business days.

Your subscription will then be cancelled accordingly. If you request a refund for an initial purchase and the subscription is currently active, then the subscription will be cancelled and instantly turn to the expired state. Same works for the automatic renewal payment unless a refund request is made for a subscription period that has not yet begun (i.e. within the automatic billing period approximately 2 weeks before your current subscription period ends). In that case, subsequent subscription period will not start, but your current subscription period will continue to provide you with full protection until the expiration date.
