Abingdon, UK, 11th September 2012 – Kaspersky Lab has today announced that Chairman and CEO, Eugene Kaspersky will betaking part in the World Economic Forum’s sixth Annual Meeting of the New Champions (also known as the Summer Davos).
Taking place in Tianjin - China, Eugene will share his experience and future vision of the digital world and discuss expected forthcoming threats, while talking with the world’s leading business and policy experts.
Eugene will also be participating in the panel discussion, “Creating a Resilient Cyber Economy”, on how the full potential of the world’s cyber economy can be realised. Among the topics to be addressed are; protecting digital privacy and reputation, addressing international security threats and building trusted data environments. The panel discussion will be held on Thursday 13th September 2012 at 12.00.
Emphasising the importance of the Tianjin meeting, Eugene Kaspersky said, “I am very proud to represent Kaspersky Lab at the WEF meeting. The New Champions are led by the Forum’s Global Growth Companies Community (GGC), as well as the communities of Technology Pioneers, Young Global Leaders, Global Shapers and Young Scientists. The GGC was formed in 2007 to engage dynamic high-growth companies with the potential to be tomorrow’s industry leaders.
