Kaspersky Lab shows its commitment to the Small and Medium Business market with the latest expansion of its Green Team Channel Partner Programme in the UK.
Kaspersky Lab has today announced a series of new initiatives for new and existing members of its Green Team Channel Partner Programme in the UK.
Since launching in February 2009, the Green Team Channel Partner Programme has increased the number of Kaspersky Lab’s channel partners by 20%, contributing to a doubling in UK corporate sales, Q4 2008 to Q1 2009. This latest expansion of the programme is part of a focus on the SMB market, historically neglected by other IT security vendors, as well as a recognition of the huge value offered by smaller partners.
The first initiative to be introduced is the Kaspersky Lab Academy. From July 2009, new partners will graduate from the ongoing one-day academy sessions with in-depth knowledge of Kaspersky Lab’s award-winning technologies and products. This will be complemented by extensive sales training and a detailed introduction by the Global Research and Analysis Team, regarding the shape, size and evolution of the Cybercrime threat, that is currently growing at the rate of 17,000 new threats each day.
Kaspersky Open Space Security is exclusively available from Kaspersky Lab’s partners and resellers and last month was recognised as the Best Security Product of the Year at the 2009 SC Magazine Awards. Corporate Sales Director at Kaspersky Lab, Bill Trim explains that succeeding in the market is not just about having the very best products: “Kaspersky Lab has always been a channel-friendly company and it is our ambition to be acknowledged as the best-in-class for recruitment, training and ongoing support of all our UK partners.”
In addition to the Kaspersky Lab Academy, Kaspersky Lab will also be working more closely with its distributors including Wick Hill, Arc Technology Distribution Ltd, CMI and DNS Arrow to arrange ongoing partner training.
Next month, Kaspersky Lab will also introduce a SPIFF that will be aimed at selected partners to drive incremental growth. “The SPIFF will provide a huge incentive for others to make it in to the SPIFF programme in the future,” states Trim. “With the introduction of the Green Team Channel Partner Programme and these new initiatives we are giving our partners all the help and support they need to grow sales revenue and increase profitability with Kaspersky Lab.”
