Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 also support seamless upgrade from Windows 7
Kaspersky Lab today announced that Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 are now fully certified for installation and operation on Windows 8 devices. Users who are upgrading from Windows 7 will not need to re-install the security software, which is transferred seamlessly to the new operating platform.
“We live in an increasingly mobile and internet-enabled world,” said Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab. “This is exposing consumers to new security threats and privacy vulnerabilities. With the Windows 8 certification our flagship consumer security products will be able to extend their high quality of user-friendly protection to even more devices.”
Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 support all the security features of Windows 8. This includes efficient protection of apps developed for Microsoft’s new interface, integration with Windows Security Center and full support of Microsoft’s new Early-Launch Anti-Malware (ELAM) technology.
Other new and enhanced features include an innovative ‘Safe Money’ feature, a new anti-spam module, a new antivirus engine, and a simplified user interface.
